There is something so special about a do it yourself wedding, the decor was on point turning a ‘humble’ venue into a magnificent display of light, warmth and beautiful colours which would give the most decorated wedding venues a run for their money.
Even when things are well planned there is always a slight chance something can go wrong which unfortunately was the case when the Evening caterers cancelled on the wedding morning!
This was quickly resolved with the help of the best man and father of the bride who took the pressure on themselves and came up with what ended being a mini street food buffet with everything from a Jambalaya Stand, incredible Indian food enough cake to feed the population of Britain and an Ice cream van!! Whatever the original caterer was providing was quickly forgotten and would have been overshadowed by what stood before their very impressed guests.
We kicked off the evening reception with a chilled set while evening guests arrived followed by the first dance and then a full dance for our last 2×45 min sets, we loved playing the Macarena for everyone I think we could have played it all night and no one would have minded ha!
